Slow Season Schmow Season

The post holiday winter months can sometimes be a slower time of the year for many businesses, especially those in retail or restaurants that have great outdoor patios (sigh…I miss those right about now). However there are a couple things businesses can do to keep business flowing and income growing.

  1. Out with the old in with the new-Have a clearance sale or a new product/service launch event. Whether you’re in retail or not this can be a great way to let your customers know you appreciate them by giving them a discount on what they already love while also telling them about the great new plans you have for the upcoming year
  2. Do your own shopping-Now is a great time to take a look at all those expenses you use to keep your business running and see if there is anything better out there. It might help you cut costs and will keep your service providers on their toes.
  3. Make the connection-During slow periods is a great time to get out and network with other businesses in your community. Your Chamber of Commerce can be a great source for networking opportunities. You can also use these opportunities to create strong marketing strategies and expand your customers. Check out our article on Deal Bundling for more ideas on this.

Whatever you decide remember to use Save Local Now to reach out and keep your customers interested. If you build it (and tell them about it) they will come.
